To plan, register, prepare, and ride with Devo. Devo is an age-based, community-centered mountain bike development program dedicated to sharing the love of riding mountain bikes.
Devo rides at Purg! For riders ages 9-12 looking to develop their skills on the slopes, our Junior Purgatory Summer Camps feature DH bike park riding at Purgatory Resort. Full face and knee pads are required, elbow pads are encouraged. Transportation to and from Purgatory is provided from the Rec Center. Purg passes are included.
Riders should have at least one full season of riding MTBs on green and blue trails. Mountain bikes with at least front suspension, disk brakes, and gears are required. Wheel size must be 24 inches or bigger. Riders should be excited to explore advanced terrain and tackle steep descents. Full-face helmets and knee pads are required. Elbow pads and gloves are highly encouraged.
The main goals of our Junior Purgatory Summer Camps are to introduce riders to the skills involved in bike park riding at a resort! Riders will work on fundamental descending and technical riding skills, along with how to ride the chairlift on your bike, and more.
Parents should not attend practices. We believe riders learn and grow most when they can attend practice without their parents!
Each summer camp runs for 5 consecutive days (Monday – Friday). Camps are full day, from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Practices will meet at the Durango Rec Center, with transportation to Purg and back provided in Devo’s vans. We allow up to 12 riders per camp. Pickup/dropoff at PJ’s Market at Trimble is also available for those living north of town.
*Registration for ’24 Summer Camps opens on March 29 at 10am*
