To celebrate two spectacular decades of developing lifelong cyclists, one ride at a time, we’re going to need more than a single evening.
We’re planning a weekend-long celebration from Friday, October 17th to Sunday, October 19th, and we want you to join us!
Attend our centerpiece fundraiser-gala at the Powerhouse on Saturday to mingle with famous alumni, enjoy delicious food, celebrate two decades of wonder and support the next 20 years.
Join us all weekend long for fun, inclusive, Devo-style events. Click each arrow to learn more about the events we’re cooking up:
One of Devo’s most beloved Upper Level traditions, an Alley Cat combines a scavenger hunt, an urban bike adventure, and the ultimate team bonding experience. Teams of four race against each other to complete challenges ranging from the creative to the athletic to the just plain silly. Starting at Buckley Park and meandering down to Ska Brewing to join our big Welcome Bash!
Come directly to Ska, or participate in our “Alley Cat” (see above) that ends at the brewery. We’ll have music, photos from 20 years of Devo history, basketball hoops, and good vibes. Come as you are, all are welcome.
Another fun-filled Alley Cat race, but focused on family-friendly challenges! Explore Durango’s new Mesa Park by bike while completing challenges ranging from the creative to the athletic to the just plain silly. Youth participation is encouraged — some challenges will be especially-invented with young junior shredders in mind.
Devo has been holding junior fun races for as long as we’ve been Devo (hint: 20 years), so let’s enjoy an epic celebratory one. This event is for riders age 3 to 11ish on a fun short track course filled with twists, turns, obstacles, and surprises. Popsicles all but guaranteed.
We have the distinct privilege of being the first to ride at Durango Mesa Park’s brand new trails. Come ride the twisty-turny, fun-but-challenging, soon-to-be-legendary, Chad-Cheeney-designed Short Track race!
Join Mesa Park Staff and Leaders, as well as folks on the Durango Devo team, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the brand new Mesa Park. Learn about the incredible new park’s progress to date, current offerings, and future plans.
Whether you can’t resist a “first” event or just love the dual slalom course, join us for the first-ever official race on the Mesa’s brand-new Dual Slalom course. While the exact event format is still in the works (Single-elimination? Double-elimination? More of an “enduro” format that includes some of the other DH-oriented trails in the Mesa Park?), we can assure you that a) this event will include a lot of berms and a lot of jumps and b) this event will feature as little uphill pedaling as possible. What’s not to love?
Please join us on Saturday at the Powerhouse for a very special evening with the stars. At our intimate 20th anniversary gala and fundraiser, we will hear from Devo alumni and leaders, celebrate an amazing two decades of wonder, and look ahead to everything to come in Devo’s next 20 years.
Join Durango Bike Polo legends for a beginner clinic followed by a fun, non-competitive beginner match and see first-hand why Bike Polo is the ultimate training for bike handling, balance, and teamwork skills.
Come compete or spectate as Durango’s Bike Polo enthusiasts throw down in the ultimate tourney. Enjoy high thrills, high drama, and high skill — and plenty of shenanigans.
