DEVO U14er Chris Blevins gave the team another national championship winning ride today in the 10 and under cross country race. Chris’s field of 10 riders started with the 11-12 field of 20. Shortly into the race, Chris having a stellar ride, caught the lead 11-12 boy and passed him on the final technical climb to take the win, beating the entire field! Chris put 30 seconds on the entire field in the short 2 mile lap. Dang Chris….You so Fast!

Tad Elliott raced himself into the top spot today at the USA Cycling one day mountain bike National Championships in Vermont. The DEVO alumni had been working towards this all season and his goal materialized when he attacked on the last lap. Check out his sweet result!

DEVO U-14 racer Chris Blevins and alumni Tad Elliott are in Vermont this week to compete in the USA’s one day National Championships cross country race. Chris will be racing in the junior men 14 and under category and Tad in the U-23. The Vermont course is known to be one of the most technical races in the states. Good luck fellas.Read More
Mallethead made its third showing in Salt Lake City, Utah several weeks ago at the Fear No Film Festival. The film did not win any awards for the third time in as many festivals. Both Jon Bailey and Chad Cheeney, the films creators, did not even know the film had been selected. Thats weird.Read More
Come join the Durango DEVO team tonight for race #6 in the short track series. Durango Sports Club will be the sweet site. Registration begins around 530 and the first race will be at 6pm. The A race will follow at 630. Cost is 5$. The course is tough and will have two singletrack option sections to aid in passing. Show up at 530 to get a bonus one lap TT time.Read More
Durango DEVO’s Taylor Borucki has been quietly mending his injured ankle since tweaking it attempting a 360 at the infamous Gravity Cavity. He should be back pedaling a bike in the next couple weeks. His injury took place on the very day he was selected to the USA downhill worlds team. “He will come back stronger than ever,” coach Chad Cheeney said several times. The recent NMBS east coast round in Windham, New York saw Todd Wells win his first short track race of 2008. Other local shredders in the race were; 15. Troy Wells, 17. DEVO Alumni Tad Elliott, 34. Adam Snyder, 40. Drew Edsall, and 41. Greg Carpenter. Check out photos and full results here.
In the previous days cross country event, Troy Wells was Durango’s top spot at 18th place. Tad Elliott, taking it easy before next weeks national championships in Vermont, rode to a 25th place finish. Nice work fellas. The ladies races were again dominated by the Luna Chick squad. Since Shonny VanLandingham retire from the circuit, Durango has not had a pro women in the national series races this season. Who’s next?
