This past weekend Trek and Gary Fisher unveiled their 2009 product to a sea of mainly foreign journalists. Local Trek shredder, Travis Brown set up the logistics for the weekend and by the look of the pictures, he picked some classic Durango rides. U-14 ladies coach Jess Reed and husband Jon got caught in the action out Lightner Creek and made the photo page from this french journal.
More new bikes.
DEVO U-19er, Alicia Rose Pastore set the Mt Evans Hill Climb record for junior women this past weekend, and won her 18 and under category by over 6 minutes. The 15 year old has been on a tear this season. Her sibling, 13 year old Gino Pastore strapped on his road bike and raced to a 4th place finish in his age group. Cully Brown of the U-14 squad took an impressive 3rd place in his age group. DEVO supporters were also in the mix; Ned Overend placed 5th overall, Carol Hvarda killed the citizens race with a time that would have had her in the mix with the category racers and Pricilla Blevins rode to a strong summit finish. Nice work DEVO.
