The Devo Halloween ride met at the Trials comp at Santa Rita Park at noon last Saturday! There was a spooky kids’ trials course that weaved in and out of the rocks with spiders, spider webs, skulls, etc. Most kids went home that day with spider webs stuck in their bars and wheels! We then headed on the Spirit Trail towards the cemetery. It was a perfect day with kids and parents in costume. We all met at the top of the cemetery at the gravestone of ‘Mr Sloan’ where Sarah told the story about ‘Mr Sloan the mailman’ whose spirit still walks amongst the woods looking for his lost letter. WE then bombed down the hill back to the trials comp to watch the pros hop, pop, jump, and stick to big boulders. Big thanks to Ryder Okumura, Red Bull, and Steamworks for helping make the event such a spooky success!

Oh my goodness, we cant wait for Wednesday from 5-7pm. Downtown Durango’s premier healthy venue, Buckley Park will play host to the spring Junior Devo’s season ending event, the annual Jr Devo Fun Race. The festivities kick off at 5pm and the last race goes off at 6:40pm. There will be the Steel Drum Ensamble playing sweet tunes, a dunk tank with Devo coaches in the line of fire, an ice cream truck, Jim Feilen doing team and action photos, burritos from Zia Taqueria, and probably the sweetest kids race course in the history of time. This will be a great spectating event and we’d love to invite you to come down wednesday night and cheer on the action!
Oh my goodness, we cant wait!

T2K is Trails 2000 and Jr DEVO are the future healthy people of Durango. They are meeting at Burket Drive Trailhead tonight to fix them some trails from 4-6pm. If you have not yet done trailwork with Trails 2000, it might not be a bad idea to give it a go. It is great on many levels.
Devo Jr is cancelled for today, Monday May 9th, and U14 is NOT!!!!!

Have you seen the new BMX track design? Its Rad! 40 more loads of dirt were brought in by some famous track builder and were used to widen and build new lines around the track. The U19ers rode by the other day and raked as the snow came in to town. With Field Blevins as guide, the team worked swiftly to stay warm. Then the Jr Devo kids took to raking last night and had great success for little people. Those rakes are tall. Thanks for the invite Durango BMX and we cant wait to shred the new track.
gotta love dirt work!
Who said dirt work isn't glamourous
