Thats right, the local cyclocross series is coming to an end. The great series being offered by Stan’s No Tubes, FLC’s Director, Dave Hagen and his crew of hard working student athletes. Sunday’s race at the Fort Lewis College Cycling Arena will mark the final race for the area crossers. This season has been one of the best ran seasons to date and the weather has cooperated by being very cross-like. Sundays race should be no different. Plenty of fresh snow is between the tape and mud is sure to be everywhere by the 10am Open Women and B Men start time. The A men and 35+ Men will follow at 11am. Many of the locals will be using this race as the last training event before the national championships in Madison, Wisconsin on January 8th. There should also be some great collegiate competition as the Skyhawk student athletes are using this event as their final tryout to make the 8 man, 8 women national team roster. Good luck to all. This is a great chance to come out and be a part of Durango’s thriving cyclocross scene. See ya there. 11 Stan’s.FCCX Series Flyer
Oh and make sure to be at the Irish Embassy at 6pm for the series awards party. There are always amazing prizes and even more amazing story telling!

The Durango Devo Crossers, from left, Will, Keenan, Galen, Coach Chad, Emily, Carly and Sierra, minus Kaylee, get ready to head out on a mission into the wild. The team rode up Lions Den and then rode several laps o the FLC practice course. The snow made cornering fun and only half of the team got frostbite. After the sun set the Crossers did one last lap at full speed and rode down Lions Den under the full moon. Super Sweet!
